Maxie McCoy's Blog

What would Texas be without high school football? The fans, the rivalries and the gridiron competition that happens every week underneath those blinding lights is exactly why I'm here...to bring the best of Texas High School football right to you!

Hey there y'all, I'm Maxie McCoy! Just like you I live to watch and talk about football. Whether it's my beloved 'Boys or the 5A state champs, every game brings hype and excitement my way. Let's just say it is fabulous to be back in Texas where high school football is what it's all about. See, I've spent the past four years back East playing volleyball and studying Journalism at Lehigh University and then continuing on to get my Masters in Sports Media. Not only was I living in the land of the Philadelphia Eagles, but the high school football looked something that our middle schoolers could roll out!

The football may have been mediocre up there, but I had some incredible experiences that led to the Road Tour. Prior to moving back to the homeland, I was an intern for ESPN and then went on to be an ESPNU Campus Connection reporter. I also worked for NFL films where I spent every day working on and producing features about the best game on earth. Just like any southern girl, I grew up watching nothing but football. That love turned into an interest in all collegiate and professional sports. I realized that my gift of gab could be a perfect fit for sports broadcasting, and so here I am Texas!

Get your giant styrofoam fingers ready and your face paint out because we're hitting the road to give you some of the biggest match ups around the lone star state! And who better to hit the road with than a homegrown, football lovin' girl!?
